Outside

It is a warm and bright afternoon and I have time to spread a pink blanket on the expansive lawn at the Nelson. Always bring your sketchbook and a little bag of drawing supplies everywhere you go. We started the morning at the KC Federal Reserve to see the Money Museum on a school field trip that turned out to be only slightly interesting. The hope was to meet other high school students but that did not go as hoped. Two used book stores and a Chinese restaurant later we were relaxed in the sunshine waiting for a short film series to begin in the museum’s theatre.
But outside is not what it used to be.
